Second class.

Lesson II
Topic: At home.
Grammar: where is… it is on, under, in, behind. (4 preposition of place).
Vocabulary: doll, car, teddy bear, bed, and table.
Teachers: Gisselt, Cristela and Monica.

The class started with a song “Hello, Hello How are you today”, Gisselt was the teacher charge of this activity, she planted the activity with the song but with a video. First she presented the video the students saw the video, tem all the teachers in this class do the movements according to the song and finally students practiced just one more time the song.

Presentation part, Gisselt used a power point presentation in order to teach the vocabulary. I like the way she used the images she had on the presentation. Also, I like it because when the students did not know the new word she returned to the previous one until students identified the images. Also she presented the prepositions and then she reviewed the vocabulary and the prepositions with a charts in which she explains better the target language and she used it one box. I really like this activity because she practiced the grammar, I just will challenge the students by passed them in front of the class in order to practice.

Practice, Cristela divided the students in to group and she gave them a peace of folded paper with an images used in the previous activity and prepared for the next activity. Them, she gave each kid a word sheep and some balls with specific colors in which students were asked to paste the ball according to what the teacher said, students were practice the prepositions. I like the activity but I consider that was not according to the age because they get lost. Also, the directions were not clear. I will use the activity but with something more challenging for the students in order to practice the preposition. Also, the reading part I liked because students were running and enjoying the reading.

The last practices were doing by Monica, I consider that she did a good job. She review the previous topic and her topic. She had a scenery in which she could practice the preposition in order to know if students internalized the target language. I liked the activities because students enjoyed playing that game.

Then, she review the alphabet and the color that were located on the floor I liked how she performed the activity and the technique she used and at the end of the lesson they sung a son that is call “bye, bye song”

Things that teachers can improve:

Modify the voice, speak loud.

Control the students during the class.

Pronounce the vocabulary in a correct way.

Speak slow and model instructions.

Show enthusiasm when they teach a class.

Here my case of study participate in all the activities that they did. She looked a bit more confident of herself to do the activities, also saw that she likes to work in teams with peers.
